Obituaries

Mary F. Stank, 99, of Frackville, passed away Monday evening at Broad Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in New Boston, Jan. 28, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Henrietta Branach Brusiewski. She attended Frackville Schools.
She is a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, Frackville
She started working at the age of 14 in local garment factories, and also worked at a store in St. Clair. She then worked at the former Lenny Lauresvage Flower Shop, Frackville. Mary had an active career as a manager and buyer for the former Model Garment Outlet, Frackville and was a waitress supervisor for Lavis Catering for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Stank, in 1966; her son, James J. “Jim” Stank, in 2015, brother; Leo Brusiewski; sisters; Sophy Alexander, Helen Beecroft, Florence Kaledas and Ginger Brusiewski and an Infant great-grandson Damien Stank, in 2000
Mary is survived by a granddaughter, Mary Jo Stank, Shenandoah; grandson, James J. Stank, Jr., Gilberton; sister, Elizabeth Tokash, Arnots Addition, St. Clair; a brother, John Brusiewski, Blackwood, NJ; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. on in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Frackville, with Msgr. William Glosser and Rev. Robert Finlan as celebrants. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will be Annunciation Cemetery, Englewood / Frackville
