Darlene E. Kostingo, 71, of Maizeville, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at Schuylkill Medcial Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville. Born in Ashland, January 20, 1944, she was raised in Girardville by her late mother Nalda Bradbury Weyman. She was a graduate of Girardville High School and worked as a waitress for the Dutch Kitchen Restaurant and the American Legion, both of Frackville. Darlene was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #398, Frackville She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed all of the family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Kostingo, in 2012; and a brother Thomas Weyman Darlene is survived by her husband of 52 years, Peter Kostingo, Maizeville; two sons; Peter P. Kostingo, Frackville and Thomas Kostingo, New Holland; five grandchildren; Max, Gabriel, Jesse, Zoe and Robert; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville, with Rev. Roman Pitula, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening with Parastas at 6:30 p.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Visitation again from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Interment will be in St. John’s Parish Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville.
