Robert F. Corcoran, Sr.
Robert F. Corcoran, Sr., age 59, of Aristes, passed away at home on Sunday afternoon, June 4 after a quick battle with Stage 4 Cancer.

Born May 30, 1964 at Prince George's Hospital, Hyattsville, MD.  

He was raised in Ashland, the son of the late Joseph and Dolores Corcoran.

Rob graduated from North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1982.  He also attended Vo-Tech for adult electrical courses.  

On October 17, 1987, he married Dianna Harris, recently celebrating their 35th anniversary.

He worked at Cardinal Container in Mount Carmel followed by 30 years in the Maintenance Department at Mrs. T's Pierogies in Shenandoah, PA. 

Rob found pride in his work; whether it be remodeling a house, fixing a car, or lending a hand to anyone in need.  He loved taking rides on his raffle prize winning 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special.  Rob always enjoyed making people laugh with his quick wit and smart*** comebacks. He loved having a beer at night while being in the garage, tinkering with his "toys". 

Rob was preceded in death by his father in 2007, his mother, October 20,2022, and his father-in-law, George Harris, in 2019.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Robert F. Corcoran, Jr and daughter Kelsey Corcoran and her husband Garrett VanDeMark. Brother Joseph and wife Deborah, brother Randy and wife Diane.  Brother in laws, Carey and wife Carol Harris, Craig Harris, R. Chris Harris and companion Kelsey; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 11th and Walnut Street, Ashland with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito as celebrant.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Thursday evening, June 8, from 6 to 8 pm at the church, and Friday morning, June 9, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass.  

Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Ft. Springs

Donations in Rob's honor can be mailed to P.O. Box 137, Aristes, PA  17920 and will be forward to Rob's niece Kyndall. She is one of only 24 cases of a rare spinal muscular atrophy.
