Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A and Anna G. Lazur Galley.  She was a graduate of Frackville High School class of 1963.

Carol worked as an operator for the former Bell telephone company, Frackville; she also worked at the Box Factory, Schuylkill Haven and City Shirt, Frackville before her retirement.

She was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, John Michael Stec; a sister, Mary Ann Hooker and brother, Joseph Louis Galley.

Carol is survived by her son Michael J. Stec, Frackville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m.in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Petro Zyvarch as celebrant.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.at the church.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.
