Born in Frackville June 28, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Mary Dean Hocking.  She was a graduate of Frackville High School, class of 1962.

Jean was recognized by the Frackville BPOE Elks for her generosity in supplying homemade crocheted lap blankets to area veterans and for making baby blankets for Birthright of Frackville.

Jean worked at the bakery in Boyer’s Supermarket, Frackville

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings and was the last member of her immediate family.

Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years John P. Griffin, they were married October 27, 1962; she is also survived by her children and grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
