Raymond E. Norwich, 73, a lifelong resident of Frackville, passed away Tuesday, at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Frackville, September 26, 1945, he was a son of the late John and Beatrice Lorant Norwich.
He was a graduate of the Frackville High School
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, attained the rank of Sergeant and served with the 6551 Transportation Squadron.
Raymond worked as a security guard for the Joseph Semasek Detective Agency and was best known as being a bartender for over 20 years at the American Legion, Frackville. He previously worked at the former Model Garment Factory, Frackville.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, and the American Legion Post #398, both of Frackville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Donald and George Norwich.
Raymond is survived by five sisters; Dorothy Tajiero, Eleanor Roman, Jeanette Semasek Loretta Horan; all of Frackville; and Ruth Dimmick, Mahanoy City; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
