Andrew E. Martin, Jr, 74, of Frackville, passed away early Friday morning at Broad Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Pottsville, June 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Andrew J. and Catherine White Martin. He was a graduate of Frackville High School, class of 1960.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He last worked as a Bus Driver for Capitol Trailways, Pottsville and previously worked as a store keeper for the Reading Anthracite Coal Company. Wadesville.
Andrew was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Frackville; the Bear’s Head Sportsman Association; Altamont Fire Company and the Goodwill Fire Company, Frackville.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 43 years Jean Jaskierski Martin, Frackville; two daughters; Gabrielle Martin and husband Michael and Heidi Brinsko and husband Jack, Frackville; a Granddaughter; Jacqui Brinsko; a brother; Paul Martin and wife Barbara, Frackville; a nephew; great nieces and nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Robert Finlan as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville and again from 9: to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Internment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
