Mary Yulich Stevens, 98, of Frackville passed away Monday morning at Ridgeview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah.
Born in Coal Castle, Janauary 27, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Yulich
She worked as a seamstress at the former Philip and Jones Garment Factory, Pottsville and was also employed at the Model Garment Factory, Frackville.
She was a lifelong devoted member of St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville and a member of the Sacred Hearts Organization.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Michael Stevens; four brothers; John Yulich, Andrew Yulich, Eli Yulich and Michael Yulich; five sisters; Anna Bolicavage, Helen Litwak, Pauline Morawski, Veronica Cmory and Julie Johnson.
Mary is survived by her son Joseph Stevens and daughter-in-law Melody, Havre de Grace, MD; a grandson Jonathan Stevens, Pasadena, MD; several nieces and nephews.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Petro Zvarych as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the church Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville.
