John “Jack” P. Stetz of Frackville, passed away Sunday evening at the Lehigh Valley Health Network East, Pottsville.

Born in New Boston, September 8, 1928, he was a son of the late John (Mitchell) and Frances Konidas Stetz. He was a graduate Mahanoy Township High School class of 1946.

He was a member of the U.S. Army having served during the World War II and was stationed in Japan.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Frackville and a lifetime member of the B P O Elks, Lodge #695, Mahanoy City.

He was a self-employed and was owner of the former Jack Stetz Home Insulation Company, Frackville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother Bernard Stetz.

Jack is survived by his wife of 68 years Ann Purcell Stetz, Frackville; two sons; John Stetz, Reading and Joseph Stetz and his wife Mary Ann, Frackville; grandson; Ryan Stetz, Philadelphia; a brother; Francis “Fritz” Stetz and his wife Jacqueline, reading; a nephew; Michael Stetz, New Jersey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Frackville with Rev. Leo Maletz as celebrant and Rev. Robert Finlan, as con-celebrant.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Thursday morning from 10 a.m. till time of Mass at the church.  Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Mahanoy Township.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jack’s name to Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA  17110
