Joseph A. "Ryder" Rydzewski
Died: May 5, 2016
Joseph A. Ryder Rydzewski, 88, of Frackville passed away Thursday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in West Mahanoy Township, July 1, 1927, he was a son of the late Walter and Aniela Lotz Rydzewski.  He attended West Mahanoy Township schools.
He is a US Navy veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Norton Sound.  
He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville; a lifetime member of the  AmVets, Shenandoah; American Legion Post # 398, Goodwill Hose Company, B.P.O. E. Elks Lodge #1533, all of Frackville; and Clover Fire Company, Mt Carmel.
Joseph worked as a glass cutter for 20 years at the former Metropolitan Mirror and Glass, Frackville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Stella Ryder Rydzewski, in 2006; a sister Stella Nowak; two brothers Theodore and Stanley Rydzewski.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Donna Roman and her husband Joseph, Frackville; a grandson, Anthony Roman, Orlando FL; nieces and nephews.
Religious Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. Robert Finlan, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 8 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home.  Internment with Military Honors will be at 10:30 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
