John R. “Jack” Antalosky, Sr., 78, a lifelong resident of Frackville passed away Monday at his residence with his family by his side.

Born in Frackville, October 3, 1937, he was a son of the late George and Helen Brocius Antalosky.  He attended Frackville Schools.

Jack worked as a Steel Painter for 20 years and last worked as the construction foreman for the Frackville Area Municipal Authority for 13 years before his retirement.

He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Frackville; the Painters Union and Past President of the Local Carpenters Union and served as past president of the Shady Acre Rod and Gun Club, Big Pine.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son; three brothers George Antalosky, Ronald Antalosky, Sr. and Harry Trutt; a sister; Mae DeCastro.

Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years Ruth “Sis” Zimmerman Antalosky; three sons; John Antalosky, Jr. and his wife Linda; Richard Antalosky and his wife Tina and Mark Antalosky and his companion Maureen; all of Frackville; a brother; Russ Antalosky; a sister; Linda Puscavage; both of Frackville; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Religious Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Kerry Smart, officiating.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville.

In Lieu of flowers donations in Jack’s name can be sent to St. Peter’s Memorial Fund, 21 S. Nice St., Frackville, PA  17931.
