David C. Dillman
David C. “Rocky” Dillman, 75, of Frackville, passed away Wednesday evening at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Ashland he was a son of the late Robert and Irene Krell Dillman. He attended Frackville Schools. He enlisted in the US Navy having served on the USS Independence during the Vietnam War. David last worked as a corrections officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, SCI/ Frackville, retiring in 2005; He previously worked for the former Mirrorwall Plant in Port Carbon for 18 years. David was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Clair, He enjoyed all the family gatherings and absolutely idolized his three grandchildren. He was a lifetime member and current President of the Goodwill Fire Company for several years and past Assistant Fire Chief, Frackville; He was a past President and past chief chauffer of the Frackville Ambulance Association and was a founding member and secretary of the Frackville Youth Soccer Association He was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Holden; and four brothers, Floyd, Harry and Ronald Dillman and infant Robert. David is survived by his wife of 40 years Anna M. Letunic Dillman, Frackville; a daughter Paula Dillman-McGowan and her husband Sean; a son Matthew Dillman and his wife Brandy; two grandsons; a granddaughter; sisters; Joann Kurdilla, Linda Dillman, both of Frackville and Tina Devitt, Lehighton; brothers; Francis Dillman, Donald Dillman, both of Frackville and Albert Dillman, Conyngham Valley; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Clair, with Monsignor William F. Glosser, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Goodwill Fire Company, 225 S. Balliet St., Frackville, PA 17931
