Madelyn Melnick
Madelyn Melnick, 80, of Mahanoy City, formerly of Frackville, passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
 
Born in Frackville, August 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Smarkanic Jordan.
 
She graduated from West Mahanoy Township High School.
 
Madelyn is a member of the Restoration Fellowship Church, Shenandoah.
 
She worked as presser for the former Marks Manufacturing and in the bakery of the former Weis Markets, both of Frackville. She last worked as a sorter at the former Ofrey Ribbon Factory of Frackville and Mahanoy City.
 
Madelyn is survived by her son Joseph, J. Melnick, and his companion, Eileen Herring, Zion Grove; two grandchildren; Melissa Reidel and her husband Gary, Girardville, and Anthony Melnick and his wife, Nicole, Frackville; three great-grandchildren; Aubrey Smith, David Smith, Jr. and Dylan Melnick.
 
Religious Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville, with Rev. Angela Carls, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.
