Frank Mansell

Frank Mansell, 96, a lifelong resident of St. Clair, and a recent resident of Providence Place, Pine Grove, passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center – East Norwegian St., Pottsville0
Born in St. Clair January 27, 1918, he was a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Thomas Mansell. He was a graduate of St. Clair High School.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in the European Theatre of Operations. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and drove support for General Patton.
He was a member of the American Legion Post # 398, Frackville and was of the Baptist Faith.
Frank worked as a brakeman for the Reading Railroad for over 30 years retiring in 1981.
He was preceded in death by a sister Jane Gougher and three brothers William, James and Wilbur Mansell.
Frank is survived by his wife of 68 years Margaret Mansell, Pine Grove (St. Clair), three sons; William Mansell and his wife Kathleen, Barnesville; Frank S. Mansell and companion Mabel Johnson, Gainesville, FL and Mark M. Mansell and companion Laura Highland, Hackettstown, NJ; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
