Born in Dushore, March 1, 1937 he was a son of the late Francis and Mary Waldron Richart. He was a graduate of the former St. Basil High Catholic High School, class of 1956.
Upon graduation he was offered scholarships to University of Pittsburg and Mansfield University for his athletic abilities. He chose to enlist into the U.S. Marine having served from 1956 thru 1963.
Richard was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville and the American Legion Post #398, Frackville.
He retired from Mack Truck, Allentown, as an assembly worker. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He was like working at his home and tending to yardwork.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard Richart, Jr, in 1995; a brother Francis Richart and a sister; Marcella Hamilton.
Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years Roberta (Bobbi) T. Bowman Richart, Frackville; a nephew, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Giuseppe C Esposito, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Church. Interment with Military Honors will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.
