Mary W. Niedzwiecki
Mary W. Niedzwiecki, 97, of Frackville passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill, Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah, May 27, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Stanley “Stack” and Helen Siedlick Walukiewicz.  She graduated from the former J.W. Cooper High School, class of 1943 and the McCann School of Business, Mahanoy City.

Mary worked for Middletown Air Depot during World War II, she would call all over the world to obtain parts for airplanes out of commission.  She then worked for the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania as a conference and mobile operator.  She returned to the area and worked in Frackville as a directory assistant and retied after 42 years of service.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville; a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; a charter member of the Ladies of the Elks, B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #1533, Frackville; a member of the Alliance Group #398 and a member of the Frackville Senior Citizens; she was also a member of the former St. Ann’s Guild.

Mary enjoyed golfing and bowling having won the Ladies Major Golf Championships at the Schuylkill Country Club, Orwigsburg, and at the former Fountain Springs Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years T.W. “Ted” Niedzwiecki, in 2017; an infant son, Robert Niedzwiecki; a sister Eileen Shubick; three brothers; Walter, Stanley and Robert Walukiewicz.

Mary is survived by a niece; Barbara Haughton, Sugarland, TX; a nephew; Stephen Shubick, Mineral, VA; and many friends.

Private Graveside Services and interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
