Born in Shenandoah, December 3, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Matilda Zakiewicz Metrick, Sr. She was a graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School, class of 1978 and McCann School of business, Mahanoy City.

Mary worked as an Unemployment Claims Examiner in Harrisburg.  She previously worked for Mrs. T’s Pierogies, Shenandoah.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville and the Pennsylvania State Employees Union.

She enjoyed family gatherings and supported many of the local organizations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Michael, Jr. and Edward Metrick

Mary is survived by a brother Joseph Metrick, Frackville, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Frackville with Rev. Brian Miller as celebrant.  Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family from 9 a.m. till time of Mass at the church.  Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
