Rose A. Griffiths Price, 90, of Frackville passed away peacefully Saturday evening at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Mahanoy City, June 5, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Susan (Jenina) DiPietro
She was a graduate of Mahanoy City High School and the McCann School of Business.
Rose worked as a secretary for the former Dr. Andrew Bloschichak, MD office and the former Dr. Thomas K. Hale, MD office, both of Frackville and previously worked as a secretary for the former Frackville Service and Equipment Corp.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, Frackville; and a Life Member of the Frackville Senior Citizens.
Rose was active in the community as she served on the Frackville Recreation Board, the Frackville Pool Committee and was active with the Summer League of Girls Volleyball and the local Biddy Basketball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Price; a daughter; Barbara Bolinsky and a son; William Griffiths. She was the last survivor of 11 siblings.
Rose is survived by a son; Robert Griffiths and his wife Donna, Fountain Springs; two daughters; Judi Rakowsky and her husband Leonard, Pottsville; and Angela Andrews, Frackville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning in St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Frackville with Rev. Brian M. Miller, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville and again from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.Wednesday morning. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
