Eva Boniscavage, 88, of Frackville, passed away Friday evening at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born in Frackville, November 8, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Fannie Billie. She was a graduate of Frackville High School.
She worked as a pocket setter for City Shirt Garment Factory, Mahanoy City and previously worked at the former Charles Rabin Garment Factory, Frackville.
Eva was a member of the Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, and was a member of the Church Council; she was a member of the former Ladies of the Elks Lodge #1533 and the American Legion Post #398, Ladies Auxiliary, all of Frackville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edmund Boniscavage; two sons; Edmund and David Boniscavage; four sisters; Margaret Clark, Anna Mazzucco, Mary Elston and Helen Senno; four brothers; Michael, John, Andrew and Stephen Billie.
Eva is survived by a son: Daniel Boniscavage, Phoenixville; a daughter; Andrea Buchanan and her husband Gary; Frackville; a daughter-in-law, Charlene Boniscavage, Kutztown; Grandchildren; Jason Boniscavage, Pamela Phillips, David Boniscavage, Nicole Buchanan, Elyse Boniscavage, Amanda Buchanan and Michelle Boniscavage; three great-grandchildren; a sister Nancy Powlick; Philadelphia; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, with Very Rev. James Jadick, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm with Parastas at 7:30 p.m.; at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville and again from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Interment will be in Holy Ascension Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Eva’s name to the Holy Ascension Memorial Fund, 209 S. Lehigh Ave. Frackville, PA 17931
