Michael “Big Ott” Onuskanich, 90, of Frackville, passed away Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Frackville, June 20, 1927, he was a son of the late Samuel and Nettie White Onuskanich.  He was a graduate of Frackville High School, class of 1945

He last worked as a laborer for Lehigh Valley Dairy, Schuylkill Haven, until his retirement

He was a member and former Trustee of the Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville; He was a former Cub Scout Leader and Boy Scout Master for the former Troop 89, Frackville  and a member of the Frackville Senior Citizens,

He loved and enjoyed all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.                                              

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Irene Onuskanich and brother; John Onuskanich.

Michael is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen Kordish Onuskanich; a son; Michael D. Onuskanich and his wife Theresa; a daughter; Jane Halupa and her husband Stephen; all of Frackville;  Grandchildren; Michael and Becca Onuskanich, David and Amanda Onuskanich and Luke Onuskanich; Amy and Jared Rickert and Lisa Halupa; great-grandchildren; Ava, Benjamin and Aubrey; and dog Lucy; nieces and nephews.

Religious Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, with Very Rev. James Jadick as celebrant.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville.  Interment will be in Mount Peace Cemetery, Minersville.
