Marian I. Calabretta Terry, 89, of Richboro formerly of Kulpmont, Harrisburg and Frackville passed away Tuesday.
Born in Marion Heights, December 18, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Clara Avellino Calabretta, Sr.
She graduated Kulpmont High School and St. Agnes School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
Marian and her husband Robert owned and operated the Schuylkill Gas Company, Frackville for over 40 years. She previously worked as a nurse for several years at the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg and the Pottsville Hospital and Warne clinic.
They were active in many community affairs and a longtime member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Frackville. She was a member of the former Catholic Nurses Guild of Schuylkill County.
She was preceded in death siblings; Theresa Butkewicz, Lucia Calabretta and Samuel Calabretta, Jr.
Marian is survived by her husband of 62 years Robert T. Terry, Richboro; five daughters; Sandra Schultz (Thomas), Richboro; Donna Scott (Daniel), North Wales; Beth Ann Oswald (Gerald), Sterling, VA; Robin Lynn Robbins (Timothy), Holland; and Jacqueline Morein (Scott), Jamison; s sister; Stella Ann Dermott, Carlisle; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning in Holy Angels Church, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont, with Rev. Andrew Stahmer as celebrant. Private interment will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Kulpmont.
