Edward F. Bartlett, Jr. 68, of Palo Alto, passed away Thursday at his residence with his family by his side.
Born in Pottsville he was a son of the late Florence C. Sheriff Kalbach and his late step-father Leo Kalbach and the late Edward F. Bartlett, Sr.
He was a member of the East End Fire Company, Palo Alto; a former member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1533, Frackville and the Italian Club, Palo Alto.
He was an assistant at several local funeral homes, including the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral home, Frackville; the Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home, Minersville, Robert A Evans, Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon; Lord-Bixler Funeral Home, Pottsville, David D. Jarrett Funeral Home, Mahanoy City and the Schuylkill County Coroner’s office providing transportation, removal and funeral assistance for over 20 years. His professional conduct and attention to detail helped many families through their funeral services.
He previously worked for Gulf Mills, Pine Grove, Angst Construction and Felker Construction.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Michael G. Bartlett and a step-son Daniel Seiger.
Ed is survived by five children; three step-children and several grandchildren; and a sister Florence Farber.
Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family as per his request.
