Richard G. "Rick" Lynn

Richard "Rick" G. Lynn, 30 of Frackville died unexpectedly Saturday at his residence.
Born in Hamburg he was a son of Michelle Merchlinsky Sluck and her husband David, Mahanoy Plane, and his father, Robert Lynn, Sr., Hamburg.
After graduating Mahanoy City High School, class of 2003, he entered into the US Army having served in Iraq. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #398, and served as the Sergeant of Arms, Frackville.
Rick was as an Elevator Mechanic with the Elevator Union, Allentown, for the past 3 years, he worked with the Reading Elevator Company.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Anna Kostingo; grandparents, Michael and Clara Sluck, uncle, John Merchlinsky, Jr. and paternal grandmother Hilda Lynn.
In addition to his parents Rick is survived by a daughter Alesona Obzut, two brothers; Aaron Lynn and his wife Colleen, Girardville and twin, Christopher Lynn and his wife Viki, Delano; maternal grandparents; John and Dorothy Merchlinsky, Maizeville; Aunts, Uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Religious Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville, with Rev. Roman Pitula, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., Parastas at 7:30 p.m. and again Wednesday morning from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment with Military Honors will be Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
