Pauline (Stec) Andrews, 89, a lifelong resident of Frackville passed away early Tuesday morning at her residence.

Born in Frackville she was a daughter of the late Ignatius and Fannie Harbist Stec.  She attended Frackville Schools.

Pauline was an active member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, she was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Society, member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post #398, the Frackville Senior Citizens and the ILGWU.  She volunteered for many public services committees.

She worked as a seamstress for several local garment factories.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul “Mudge” Andrews, in 1993.  She was the last  of twelve brothers and sisters.

Pauline is survived by her son Edmund P. Andrews and his wife Cecilia, Dillsburg; two granddaughters, Gwen Swift and her husband Michael and Monica O’Sullivan and her husband Michael; great-grandchildren Madeline and Gavin Swift and Ava and Liam O’Sullivan; sister-in-law; Carol Stec; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Roman Pitula, as celebrant.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday evening; Parastas will be at 6:15 p.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home and again from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday morning.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery, Englewood/Frackville.
