Patricia A. “Patsy” Lapachinsky, 74, of Frackville passed away unexpectedly Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St. Patsy was also known as “mam” by her family, was born in Turkey Run, Shenandoah, and was a daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Kinger Subalusky. She was a graduate of J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah. After graduation, she worked at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC and did some Fashion Modeling; she also worked as a sales representative for Miracle Ear, Inc. at the Schuylkill Mall and retail sales in cosmetics. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, and was active with the Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville; a member of the South End Field and Stream, Whippoorwill, Frackville and a former member of the Lithuanian Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years Bernard E. “Big Ben” Lapachinsky, whom she cared for at home prior to his passing, Dec 6, 2014; and a sister, Sylvia U. Hovanec, in 2013. Patsy’s second most important person, beside her husband Big Ben, was her granddaughter, Molly; she was her most loved and devoted companion. Patsy enjoyed spending time shopping on eBay with her loyal dog by her side and spoiling her three girls. She is also survived by daughters, Candice Lapachinsky and husband, Jeff Rubendall, Elysburg and Jennifer Lapachinsky Rompalo and husband, Frank, Frackville; a son, Scott Lapachinsky and wife Heidi, Pottsville; four grandchildren; Molly Lapachinsky, Cash Rompalo, Grant Lapachinsky and Grace Lapachinsky; a sister Suzanne Subalusky Lobichusky, and husband Dr. Joseph Lobichusky, Barnesville; a brother, Frank V. Subalusky, and wife Theresa, Alexandria, VA Nieces and Goddaughter, Sharon Subalusky Getz, Alexandria, VA,, nieces and nephews, Sandy Subalusky, Midlothian, VA, Daniel Subalusky, Nokesvile, VA, Brone Lobichusky, Barnesville and great-niece, Shannon Cusak, Midlothian, VA. No words can describe how deeply our mother will be missed. Without her, our lives will never be the same. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Robert Finlan, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:30 till time of Mass Tuesday morning at the church. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
