Charles W. Seasock
Charles W. Seasock, 89, of Frackville passed away peacefully Saturday evening at his residence with his family by his side.
 
A lifelong resident of Frackville, he was born January 6, 1925 and was a son of the late Michael and Mary Sedar Seasock.
 
He attended Frackville schools and worked as a welder before being drafted into the Army.
 
Charles served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theatre of Operations. He received the distinguished Unit Badge and the European Theatre Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars.
 
He worked for Alcoa Aluminum, Cressona for 25 years as a press operator and also worked for the Schuylkill Mall maintenance department before retiring.
 
He was a member of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, The American Legion Post #398, the Rev. James A. Hogan, Knights of Columbus Council #2580, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1533 and the Friendship Fire Company, all of Frackville.
 
He was preceded in death by a sister Verna Fay and a brother Michael Seasock.
 
Charles is survived by his wife of 66 years Eleanor L. Conapitsky Seasock, Frackville; two sons; Charles M., Apex, NC and Dennis F., Calif.; a granddaughter, Cyntia Grosser, Apex, NC; three grandchildren; Joshua Grosser, Sarah Grosser, NC and Megan Seasock, Calif.; a brother John Seasock, Frackville; five sisters; Anna Reilly, Palm City, FL; Helen Drabyk, West Palm Beach, Fl; Mary Gnall, Harrisburg; Irene Reilly, toms River, NJ and Geraldine Slotcavage, Mertyl Beach, SC; nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, with Rev. Roman Pitula, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Wednesday morning from 8 – 9 a.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
