Jeanette F. Hombosky
Jeanette F. (Zearfoss) Hombosky, affectionately known to many as Nana, passed away Thursday after a short illness at the age of 80 at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
 
Born in Jonestown, December 16th, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and May Kleinfelter Zearfoss. Jeanette graduated from Lebanon High School at the age of 18, where she was a member of the marching band and played the Hawain guitar. She was a member of St Joseph’s Parish, Frackville.
 
Jeanette’s sole occupation was waitressing a job she enjoyed and at which she made many life-long friends. She spent over 20 years at the Country Squire Restaurant, Schuylkill Haven, and after retirement would be frequently seen with past co-workers.
 
She was a cancer survivor and became an enthusiastic supporter of Relay for Life and many other non-profits.
 
Jeanette was an avid baker and gardener. Her Christmas cookies and Easter nutrolls were highly desired by family and friends.
 
Jeanette’s true joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treated all 12 as they were her own, and especially enjoyed holding newborns when they arrived.
 
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas J. “Hambone” Hombosky, Sr.; an infant son, Glenn Thomas and siblings Jacob, Ken, Dale, Paul, Clifford, Audrey, Arlene and Eleanor.
 
Surviving is her daughter Anna May Domalakes and husband Larry; a son Thomas Hombosky, Jr ; Frackville; six grandchildren; Melissa Hombosky, Bellefonte, Tracy Hombosky, Jennifer Kessler, Crystal Domalakes, Anthony Domalakes all of Frackville and David “Drew” Domalakes, Houston, TX; six great grandchildren; Amaya Kessler, Karlie Kessler, Zachary Kessler, Brett Krapf, Alexander Krapf and Kyra Krapf; a sister Fern Rocha, San Antonio, TX and a brother Donald Zearfoss, Jonestown; several nieces and nephews.
 
As per Jeanette’s request A Mass of Christian Burial and Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
 
Donations can be made in Jeanette’s name to the American Cancer Society, 101 W. Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931.

I was a classmate of Jeanette Class of 1952 Jonestown,Pa.I knew her brothers Ken & Donald Well. I haven,t seen her for years, but I have memories from High School
