Mary M. (Grutza) Huss, 88, formerly of Shenandoah, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at the Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
 
Born in Shenandoah, November 4, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Fruddam Grutza.
 
She attended Shenandoah Schools and worked as a folder at the former Martin Dress Factory, Shenandoah, and last worked in dietary at the former Locust Mountain State Hospital, Shenandoah Heights.
 
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Shenandoah
 
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Chester M. Huss, in 1998; six sisters; Bertha Heffner, Lottie McGuire, Annie Newrella, Helen Novak Elsie Grutza and Estelle Grutza; two brothers; Joseph and Edward Grutza.
 
Mary is survived by her son Chester J. Huss and his wife Debra, Frackville; two grandchildren, Lee Ann Huss, Frackville and Michael Huss and his wife Kelly, Valley View; a great-granddaughter, Ayla Jean Huss, Valley View; two sisters; Pauline Grutza, Shenandoah and Theresa McCord, Springfield, MA; several nieces and nephews.
 
Religious Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville with Rev. David Grant, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 6-8 pm Friday evening and again from 10-11 am Saturday morning at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
 
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mary’s name to Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Activities Dept. 500 W. Laurel St., Frackville, PA 17931
