Thomas C. Gaughan
Thomas C. Gaughan, 79, of Frackville passed away Friday at his residence with his family by his side.
 
Born in William Penn, March 12, 1935 he was a son of the late Francis J. and Rita Barrett Gaughan. He was a 1953 graduate of West Mahanoy Township High School.
 
He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War having last served at the Navel Air Station in Pensacola, FL.
 
Tom was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #398 and a lifetime member of the Goodwill Hose Company #1, all of Frackville.
 
He last worked for the former Acme Supermarkets in Shenandoah, Mahanoy City and Pottsville as a stock clerk. He was also a part-time Crossing Guard for Frackville Borough.
 
He was preceded in death by a son Francis Gaughan, in 2013
 
Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years Theresa C. Gorski Gaughan, Frackville; three daughters; Cecelia Gaughan, Minersville; Carol Brinsko, Frackville and Michelle Martz and husband Chester, Frackville; six grandchildren; Andrew Hoysock, Krista Dougherty, John Brisko IV, Paul Dittman, Domonique Dittman and Nathaniel Bilhime; three great-grandchildren, Dillon Clarke, Harley Dougherty and Chiara Hoysock; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Parker, Mertyl Beach, NC; Nieces and Nephews.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Frackville, with Monsignor William Glosser, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation form 6 – 8 Monday evening and again from 11 – 12 Tuesday morning at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Interment with Military Honors will be Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville
